Bachelor of Computer Application ( BCA )  is a technocal degree of Tribhuvan University offfering an integrated humanities and social science courses in the field of computer application. It is an eight semester (four year) programme that prepares students to take the challenges in the area of software development, system and application development as well as management. It provides a comprehensive pedagogy in information technology and computer application. 

MISSION AND OBJECTIVES

To produce top level IT professionals who can choose their career path according to their interest. 

The specific objectives of the program are:

  • to produce advanced computer application users and developers.
  • to produce IT professionals proficient in different fields of computer application and information technology.
  • to provide functional knowledge regarding hardware system and software development.
  • to prepare students to be able to handle problems related to computer systems and their applications.
  • to prepare students for further higher studies in MCA, MIT, MBA, etc.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must pass PCL or +2 or equivalent examination with at least 45% marks or 2 CGPA (with minimum D+ in each subject).
  • Applicants should have passed the entrance examination conducted by TU.
