Bachelor of Computer Application ( BCA ) is a technocal degree of Tribhuvan University offfering an integrated humanities and social science courses in the field of computer application. It is an eight semester (four year) programme that prepares students to take the challenges in the area of software development, system and application development as well as management. It provides a comprehensive pedagogy in information technology and computer application.

mission and objectives

To produce top level IT professionals who can choose their career path according to their interest.

The specific objectives of the program are to:

  • To produce advanced computer application users and developers.

The primary goal of this course is to offer students with computing knowledge. The course is divided into four distinct sections. Software Development, Information Systems, Networks, and Distributed Systems, and Internet Computing Systems are some of the topics covered. The graduate will have self-awareness, performance in a range of circumstances, creativity, and ethics after completing this course. System analysts, system managers, project managers, database administrators, system designers, and programmers are among positions that BCA graduates can apply for in IT companies.BCA graduates are continuously in demand in the information and manufacturing industries. Graduates will be qualified to study in any of the Information Technology institutions, including MCA, MIT, MBA, and many others.

Eligibility

 

 

  • Applicants must pass PCL or +2 or equivalent examination with at least 45% marks or 2 CGPA (with minimum D+ in each subject).
  • Applicants should have passed the entrance examination conducted by TU.
